COURSE CONTENT
- Theoretical and Video presentations
- European Basic Laparoscopic Urological Skills Program and Basic Laparoscopy Training on Laparoscopy Simulators (E-BLUS)
- ESUT Advanced Laparoscopy Training Program (On Pig Model)
The Number of Participants:
Maximum: A total of 32 trainees grouped into 4 groups of 8 trainees each.
Depending on the type of exercise to be done each group will be further divided as follows:
- Hands-on laparoscopic training on pigs: 2 trainees per pig
- Training box practice: 2 trainees per training box
- Laparoscopy simulators: 1 trainee per simulator

Practical course content:
European Basic Laparoscopy Training on Laparoscopy Simulators (E-BLUS)
Level I: Training in laparoscopy training boxes (Pelvi-box trainer)
Task I: Peg Transfer
Task II: Cutting a Circle
Task III: Needle Transfer and Guidance
Task IV: Laparoscopic Knot Tying and Suturing
Level II: Laparoscopy simulators
Bimanual dexterity and knotting-suturing exercises
Level III: Animal laboratory
Task I: Access: Inserting a verress needle, establishing of a pneumoperitoneum and trocar placement
Task II: Preparing the testicular vein. Performing a varicocelectomy.
Task III: Preparing the ureter. Performing an ureteroureterostomy (ureterolithotomy)
Task IV: Performing a renal hilus dissection. (Renal artery, vein, vena cava, aorta)
Task V: Performing a partial nephrectomy (hilus control, tumor resection and reconstruction)
Task VI: Performing a nephrectomy: Kidney dissection, hilus control, clipping and cutting and placing the kidney in an organ bag.
